Filger Library was built in 1915 with land donated by Mr. David Filger.

Memberships are free for patrons who live in town and are $60.00 for those who live out of town. Patrons living in Groveland township are eligible for a voucher covering the cost.

Filger Public Library is part of Alliance Library System located in East Peoria, Illinois.  Alliance Library System is one of nine multitype systems cooperating to provide essential services to the citizens of Illinois.
